| Another "I need new ski's" post... So I've been skiing all my life. When I was younger I took about 4 years off, and got back about 3 years ago...but point being, I ski, and I preffer the dimond and double dimond stuff.
Anyhow, some of you may know me from ridemonkey.com, I'm a freerider. I want to start freestyle skiing. I've been doing downhill skiing and like small drops and jumps on my skies, but dont feel safe taking them to the terrain park. So, I'm in the market for some good "all around" twin tippers. I'm 155 lbs, 5"10 and 16 years old. Cash isnt big, as this is my christmas present, so skies and bindings should stay affordable (prefferibly no more then $300 for the skies and $100 for bindings?). I need skies and bindings so throw out your thoughts. I've been looking at K2 public enemies, and a ski race friend recommended Line invaders. I have no idea what sort of binding to look at, but throw stuff at me.
And currently I'm on Rossis at 177, but I fail at jump turns (Can do them, but not well...) and I self conciously believe it has something to do with the skies being long. I like going fast down hills (bombing it) and powder is fun, I would likely be taking the skies to the backcountry to build jumps with friends and skrew around in powder on the backside.
Throw your ski and binding choices at me!
P.S. I would have gone threw previous post, but my computer is being slow, so feel free to post links.
Thanks! |

| where are you going to find new public enemys for 300. I dont know if they still make them but k2 had a park ski called the fujative that was in that price range though. |

| I've found some '07 ones for $250. The size on them is 169, but according to an online website that should fit me. Anyone disagree with that?
P.S. Yeah, they still make them/ |

| I've got a set of PE's I'll sell you with basically new look px12 bindings on them. They were an awesome ski but I got a really sweet deal on a set of new skis so I need to get rid of them. |

| I would say 169's would be too short for your 5'10" height. I know nothing about twin tip skis, but once you have researched, before you buy, check out www.evogear.com. They have pretty good prices and you don't mind getting last years stuff, you can usually save around 50%.

If powder is important and it sounds like it is, you may want to consider something wider than the public enemys.
How about this? http://item.express.ebay.com/2007-Li...mdZExpressItem
Lib Tech 168 park skis with magnetraction and a 90mm waist. A little over your budget at $329, but with no tax and free shipping it seems close enough. |

| the line invaders look awesome this season. i have the 06 ones and they rock. evogear.com is really cheap though because they said the invaders go for 450 dollars and they marked them down to 300, but you can get them form line for 300 |

| I've already looked at evo gear, my friend recommended me that site, not much in my range. As for the size, my friend told me to get 174's but I figure, what is 4 mm difference going to be? It cant be much, right?
As far as the snow, it will be 50/50 for powder and groomed, with a little ice thrown in there. From what I hear, PE's are the best choice for "all around" riding with some freestyle thrown into the mix. |

| Fujative is designed to be a park only ski. The scratch is more of an all around ski not sure about the others.
If you want a set of PE's let me know I need to sell mine. |
