Looking for a new ski

Hey guys. I have been skiing since I could walk and have a very aggressive style. I ride the east coast most of the time, and take occasional trips out west. I crave off piste skiing wherever I can find it, but the weather usually gives up crud and hardpack. I take try to venture off into the "backcountry" at whiteFace mountain NY, and get up into VT sometimes. That just to ask one simple question. What twin tip allmountain ski would be best for me out of the bunch. K2 public enemy, head mojo 80, line prophet 80, stockli snake, or whatever you suggest. I am about 5'7'' and weight 140 lbs. I want alittle growing room since I am 15 and want a fairly high performance ski.
Thanks.

Well I don't have any experience with any of those skis, Public Enemy would obviously plug his name sake, I would hit him up on his experience. Personally, I think the guys at Line do a great job and would recommend them. If you are looking for a good all mountain ride I'd also suggest the Dynastar Legend 8000. Not a true twin tip, but does have a turned up tail. Good luck and keep us posted.

Yeah i was lookin at that as well. This winter I plan on doin a BC treck in the keen valley mountains near Lake Placid. The legends seem like they could handle that, and the all mountain freeride image i like. Plus I dont really like hangin out with those park rats.

I think the 172's will be a little long fro me now, but by the end of the year and for the next two, they should be fine, so I guess I can wait till then.

i cant suggest the volkl karma enough. slightly expensive. but it is an amazing ski. theres a reason most of the skiing mags voted it the best all mountain twin. it can handle whatever whatever you throw at it and is wide enough to float you well in the back country. its stiff so it works well at high speeds. its just great all around.

the only thing im worried about is that we may not get much snow one year, and its usually icy, so that width may not be so good for that, but im not sure. I just want soething I can rip down icy hardpacked slopes, and then do some thick snow galdes and stuff. oh yeah and hit the park eveey once and a while.

This is a tough call...I've heard the Karma's are a great ski, but I also agree 87 is pushing it underfoot for east coast. I ride Legend 8800's which are 89 underfoot, but if the cover is hard, I'll ride my Line Assassins. Those are 75 underfoot. I don't have a midfat per se since I blew out my XX's. If I were you, I'd demo the Prophet's and Karma's and see which one's work for you.
