your opinion

So, I'm currently a snowboarder, but I'm thinking about picking up skiing as well. My cousin recently became a member of the Solomon UK freestyle team, and so I was figuring I might as well try skiing. Plus, who knows maybe this way I can get some free sh1t. Also, I mountain bike a lot, and have heard that skiing is fairly similar. I was wondering what you think, and if anybody has any suggestions. Also, all of you ridemonkey cross-overs, can you tell me if there is a similarity between skiing and mountain biking?

haha i do both and i dont see any resemblance other than you have to be confident in both. definitely try it tho. if u can snowboard well then u can probably pick up skiing. just know it takes a lot longer to become really good at skiing than it does at snowboardin.

I tried each of the three disciplines and have ended up sticking with skiing and tellie. I hope to pick up a board next year again though. I think each one offers fun.

I don't really find much resemblance between skiing and mountain biking. Well...unless like you are tree skiing, then there are similarities with the two in how you move around obstacles.

Picking your line like you do on a bike helps your skills with mogul skiing and vice-versa. And going fast in a straight line, your shoulders etc are always facing the same way. Give skiing a try, afterall it is a cooler sport.

Damn Double Planker Wanker's, when will you realize snowboarding is the beyond comparison to skiing.

On another note, biking is a good cross-training sport to skiing. (If your into skiing that seriously)

Yeah, thats what I was thinking, and I was thinking the whole idea of stagering your feet when cornering, and the idea of edging.
