Wow, I checked out that new "rail" type system in my local board shop last weekend. It looks awesome!! I was talking with the owner, and I guess one of the Burton pros was so impressed with it (Jeremy Jones?) he insisted his board this year was built with it. My only worry is ripping the bindings out of the grooves and having the front/rear of your binding lift up from the board surface. I'm a big guy and have personally ripped my P1s out of my board on two occasions. Apparently, though, that just isn't a problem with the rail system. You need to update us with what you think!

The owner said something like 70% of Burton's product line will have the new method of attachment for the 2009 year, and if it's as good as they say I may hold out on new boots/binding/board and bite the bullet next fall. Having almost unlimited possibilities of adjustment is just too cool, and anyone that has ridden a true powder day knows it's a bummer when you take 20 minutes out of the beginning of your day to change your stance.

OK, I'll play. here's the 2 best pairs in the quiver. The B2's are new, just got them mounted up a few weeks ago. And the boots are brand new. Most comfy I've had right out of the box. And after a little custom work, they are like slippers.

i thought snowblades were just something to get when you've had a drink or two with some buddies and you all have a free rental to kill.

there is no reason I can see why anyone sober would do that crap. I tried them once and they dont glide well, turn consistantly at high speed or float in powder.

A few years ago, on a rainy day in the early spring one of the instructors came to the patrol building and had us all rent them and then ran us through some drills on them. I could see see using them for a teaching tool. One of the drills was to run them top to bottom with all of your boot buckles undone. Used some muscles I didn't even know I had on that one. Made my legs sore!
