There are some skateboards that would be more like snowboarding than others I would guess. I have seen those snake boards that look like they give more, and require more balance than normal boards.

But skateboards don't generally require the same level of balance shifting for steering as snowboards can take. It's not for me, but I am sure that it wouldn't take long to transfer the skills.

I never really thought about the similarities between skateboarding and snowboarding but now that I do I suppose they have them. My son learned snow sports before anything else and when he got interested in skateboarding he learned pretty quick. That must be why
