When they first came out, they were SUPER rugged. But since, they've gotten too "pretty" and no longer hold the "rugged" adjectives. They're like the old Oakley clothes. I have some of Oakley's first offerings and it's SOOOO nice, 3 layers, fleece and mesh lined and enough vent zippers to make you look like an exhibitionist when you fly them open during the spring. But now, they're catering to the cheap bastards on the lunch trays and not putting out the super quality anymore...sad!
