Snowboarders wear their stuff out way faster than skiers due to increased contact with the snow. As I said before, I get about 2 years out of a pair of pants, but I go through a pair of gloves pretty much every year.

Sounds like you should buy better gear.

So where do things wear out? In the a$$? Knees? Do the seams just start coming apart?

Oh I have plenty of contact with the snow don't confuse your self But my gloves are on ski poles constantly and they still don't wear out after only a year.

Yep. A$$ & Knees. (At least that is what my boyfriend told me.)

There is a difference between holding something vs running it along trees and snow and other abrasive surfaces.

But you wouldn't understand... it is a snowboarder thing. And we all know snowboarding is totally different from skiing.

that's generally the same case for me as well. you need to use your hands so much more as a snowboarder(strapping in) and there's also the occasional hand drag, so gloves don't last too long.

I get new sh!t every year because of, #1 - this place called ebay and #2 - I'm a gear whore. I sell last years boards, jackets, pants, sometimes bindings on ebay and usually find something new that I have to get. I have had the same pair of boots now for 3 seasons which is a long time for me. They are on there last season though.
