Anyone Heading to Snowshoe opening Weekend?

I'm tossing around the idea of heading up there for the first ride of the season. Leave on black friday and get away from the mad crazy shoppers, and the stress of planning this wedding.

Anyone else thinking of heading up? Looks like they have gotten 3" of natural snow so far, and had 8 days of snow making. Give it another week, and it'll be ready for me to hardcore rip up the green slopes!

They's be gettin quite a bit of snow right now it looks like. With another week of making snow, we should be good to go!

Ive always wanted to go to snowshoe, but its like a 6 hour drive from richmond

Maybe if there is 4" of snow on the ground!

If you are in Richmond VA, it's 4 hours, tops. (Depending on where you are in the city)

I know a guy who made it in 3:15, but you gotta be HAULIN! I've made it in the summer time in 3:30-3:45 plenty of times.

Well I'll be there with my wife and one of her friends. They both aren't too good but I like to go fast. I'll either be with them, or ripping it up by myself.
