I haven't yet purchased any season passes but am highly thinking about it for next season. With my current job, I should be able to find a lot more time for skiing next winter. I figure a season pass would save me the most money but they're still a good chunk of change to come up with all at once. I'm curious if they are transferable or not? If they are, I would think I could probably buy one from someone who isn't going to end up using it or has giving up skiing. Am highly considering Gunstock now that I've checked the area out.

All the resorts out west that I know of do NOT allow transferral. I would imagine the resorts out your way would be similar.

season passes are never transferable. they are a good chunk of change up front, but if you do get out enough then they are quite worth it.

Yup, you can't transfer them which is why they are such a great bargain.

When we purchase one we normally put a little aside every month until we can purchase them. Gunstock's is only a little over $300 which is only about $25-30 dollars a month put aside which isn't so bad. Even if you put $20 aside you'd have the majority by next season.

I guess that puts eBay out of the picture. Oh, well, Gunstock has one of the best pass prices around if it's only around $300 so I will definitely check into that and start saving up. The other sites I had looked into in the White Mountains were $700 to $900 so that's a huge savings right there. Thanks for the information everyone.
