Challenging runs at Alta?

So, right now I'm on vacation and hitting the various resorts around SLC (staying in town). So far I've been a bit underwhelmed by the difficulty of the resorts I've been to (Snowbasin, Solitude, and the Canyons). I'm going to be at Alta and Snowbird for the next couple of days and I'm really hoping to challenge myself.

So, about me. I've been skiing for 15ish years and I'm up for almost anything. Tight steep trees, steep chutes, almost anything....short of drops over 3-5 feet http://www.slopemonkey.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
(I'm working on those).

So my question is...where should I go looking for challenging runs at Alta/Snowbird. I'm not asking for local stashes hidden in the trees or anything like that, just general areas of the mountain I should check out to find some really challenging runs.

Any help you could give me would be very much appreciated and I'll be sure to put up a trip report with pics http://www.slopemonkey.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

1. look at trail map
2. find black diamond runs in resort
3. go ride said runs

if you aren't finding anything challenging enough out in utah, then something tells me you aren't looking hard enough.

In general though, he really was at some of the tamer resorts. I think he will be pleased with the terrain in the little cottonwoods.

Oh, and to turn this around, what are resorts that you DO you like?
