Off to Vail (CO) next week, need some pointers...

Haven't been on here in ages, so I'm probably out of touch. Forgive me in advance.

Anyway, I'm off to Vail next week and I had a few questions.

Firstly, what ski's should I be bringing? I have a pair of Public Enemy's and some Voelkl G4's to choose from. I haven't skied properly in a year because we had a s**ty winter here last season and I'm not a fan of grinding down my skis on rocks. I know this question is terrain specific, but I'll go anywhere and try anything- from back country to half pipe.

Secondly, where do I go? The back bowls sound great, as do some of the terrain parks- what is good this time of year?

Finally, any other tips or things to do? Where to eat, what to eat, etc.?

Cheers guys, off to the beach now, the weather is getting ridiculously hot here...

Dave

Everything should be pretty good at Vail. As far as what skis - I'd bring the bigger ones (PEs?)... if it dumps HUGE you'll be glad you did... and if it doesn't dump... well, the skiing will suck so you might not even bother.

Eat at Ti Amo's. Rumored to be the best Italian in the valley. Also hit the Mex joint IN the bus station.

Back bowls are a bunch of fun if there's a dump. Do NOT go back there if there is any sort of crust going on.

Have fun!
