This is gonna be my first year giving this a go. I tried snowboarding 2 years ago and didn't really enjoy myself, so this year I will try skiing. Lessons in november and then some riding

Edge Cards look like the season passes, are worn around the neck, etc. however, they're approximately the same cost as a single ticket: their draw is that they're reusable and linked to your credit card, so when you head up there you go straight to the lift, and when it's scanned for the first run of the day your card is charged for the ticket price (which is ~$10-15 off the normal price iirc).

I went to whistler early summer. The top section wasn't open to biking yet, but people were skiing&boarding on the glacier. I might go up there and snowboard this winter.
