| Yeah. (I'm actually the middle hiker in the picture.) It was pretty thin at the base, but we hiked up to the top of Wildcat and did a few laps where it was blown in about 2ft deep, and then skied back down to the bottom. Not bad considering how little snow there is. Everyone else I was with hit rocks - they couldn't resist hitting shots that were steeper and rockier - I played it safe, used my fattest rock skis and stuck to areas I was pretty confident were just grass underneath and looked deep and smooth. Pretty low angle stuff, but it was still fun for the first day of the season. |
