Join the club. Raining and 40 degrees up here in Spokane. I like how the local ski report says conditions are "a little damp," but when you look at the webcam, the lens os completely covered with raindrops!!!

50 degree temps and rain in the Lower Northeast. Some guy was bragging about a tee time for Christmas eve. I punched him in the face.

Nice and foogy in Truckee this morning. If I get a chance, I give a post-ski report on the conditions at Northstar. The sun has come out, so at least I won't be getting rained on today.

I wouldn't get away from the rock skis just yet. The rainfall yesterday melted off a lot of the cover. So there are some very thin patches, and a few holes, especially at the bottoms of the runs.

The snow was icy in the morning, and slush later. The temperature was just above 50 today, which is good if you like skiing in shorts and a tshirt; but bad for the snow...

It looks like the next set of storms may do us a bit better. Hopefully the snow will be good on New Years Day. As for me, I will be skiing Sierra tomorrow, just to practice my tele turns.

I was skiing at Sierra today in shorts. How's that for Christmas Eve? And for the last 5 runs or so, I was in shorts and a tshirt. I only wish I could find 3-pin sandals. =)

The forecast is calling for heavy snow down to lake level on Monday. Rejoice all ye locals! I'll be back up for New Years Day...
