It takes money, but Argentina's economy is in ruins. Before their economic collapse in the 90's the exchange rate was 1:1 and costs there were the same as in the US. Now a days, the exchange rate is 3:1 making every dollar you have seem like $3 down there. My plane ticket and season pass were more than half of the entire 3+ month trip's cost.
