I am definitely not pro. That drop looked much bigger in person, and got the heart pumping but with so much snow it was pretty easy...as long as you avoided all the trees when you landed.

I hit a drop earlier in the day that was much bigger, it even was over a little stream - but that one was by accident!

I bow before you

I am too much of a novice and too much of a chicken to attempt any drops yet. That looked pretty scary to me! You are definitely way out of my league whether you consider yourself a pro or not. That looked incredible!

Drops are definitely a mental game. Very nice job of it. Those are some great pics and it looks like tons of fun. Making me wish I could get out this weekend. Doubt it will be that nice tomorrow anyway though.

Drops always worry me even the smaller ones. I have a feeling that one day I am just going to be enjoying the day, swooshing down the side of a mountain and a biggie is going to surprise me. I go over, scream like a girl and then tumble down the rest of the side. Any suggestions for fairly new people like me on this?

It's VERY unlikely to happen. Drops just don't sneak up on people. I've never inadvertently gone over a drop.

I saw a guy go off one unexpectedly at Squaw. I could see the look of panic on his face from the chairlift and it was priceless.

Here is some good advice. If you are on unfamiliar terrain and can't see over the other side, don't just blast over it. Most of the time it will simply be a grade change and it won't be an issue. Most of the time.

OK - drops can sneak up on stupid people.
