I always wondered how snowboarders tolerated that bull$hit at the bottom of the Outback. That traverse is really $hitty.

I don't mind hiking the flats. It is a lot easier to do on the hardpack than it is to do it in deep pow pow. Of course I would much rather ride, but if that is the price to be paid to enjoy pow 4 days after a storm, so be it.

Keystone seems to be much more of a beginner's resort than the rest. I got cut off so many times I lost count. It is kind of funny because the runs are actually kind of steep. The blues at Keystone are definitely steeper than the blues at Breck. Just nobody knows how to ride them.

They have quite a few gladed runs at Keystone, but these get tracked out pretty quick. If you are adventurous, and willing to go off-piste you can find powder for days after a storm at Keystone. Why? Because people there seem scared of the trees. Almost nobody goes in there. That is just fine with me.

I didn't make it to the V P&B on this trip. I was too busy looking at apartments (just in case). I DID get takeout from Flatbread Pizza, however, not too far away from V P&B.

Sounds like fun. I'm hoping to make a quick 2 day trip to Taos in the next few weeks.
