i carry something similar to this in my pocket if i have to walk away from my board for a period of time

I went to the bathroom, it's not like I was in the bar for an hour.

Unlike other hills in the area, Devil's Head provides no secure ski/board storage and does nothing to prevent theft.

Besides my bad luck there. There are other places with better terrain to go to.

Would you have likely put your board in secure storage to go to the b-room? Seems like a hassle. Of course, maybe not as much of a hassle as buying a new board.

Not *this* is a proper reason not to go somewhere...

Probably not. Most of the people up there are renting so I guess they don;t see a need for any security.

And that's the main reason. Me and Rick talked about how bad DH sucks in another thread. The only reason I went there was because my friends like the bars there. In the future I am going to Cascade or somewhere else While they are at DH.

You live in Tahoe. You have no idea what our places are like. DH is a "resort" that has golf in the off season and a on site hotel with 2 bars. Cascade is a hill with a cafateria that can serve alcohol. When the slopes close for an hour in the afternoon for grooming what are you going to do?

And the people I was with go out once a year. I can give up one weekend at a better place to hang out with some friends and still be out on the slopes.

Your worst place is probably 100 times better than our best place.

what? they really close for grooming during the afternoon? really?

i grew up learning in Connecticut. Believe me... I know what suck is.

i'm also really really cheap. i'll carry a flask and keep beers in the car over spending too much money on beer from a resort bar. but that's just me being cheap.
