that's really not all that bad. this winter for biking i have purchased: new - full face helmet, wheelset, disc brakes, fork, and some attire. lots and lots of money. and the season hasn't started.
Ebay is good but when you are particular, it gets tougher. And the only season pass you'd get here for that price is an 1100 foot hill. Ain't worth it. So you either pay $900 for a season pass at a place worth riding or buy day tix at $60 - $70 a pop. And then drive 3 hours to get there.

i'm not trying to downplay the suck of getting gear stolen. it does.... but not the worst thing that can happen in a season.

and i think ebay rules for snow equipment. i got EXACTLY what i wanted for $300. total steal.

and i guess it's just cheaper to ride here.

but i make up for it w/ my horrible mortgage payments
