Hi everyone,

I haven't been on the forums much as I had a lot to do for my move to VT. I made it to town about 2 weeks ago, and have already spent a full week working at Burton so far. It's a CRAZY cool place to work. One of our perks is a season pass to Stowe which is about a 40 minute drive from my apartment.

I headed out that way this weekend.

I pulled up around 1pm and looked for the place to pick up my pass. I was impressed at the size of the mountain, definitely way bigger then anything we have in the Midwest.

After I got my pass, I rode the gondola up to the top.

I was impressed by the views, and the snow was pretty good too. Mainly packed powder, but still light and fluffy. There were a few patches of ice though, and I went down hard on one spot.

I rode down the runs that went back down the gondola a few times, and then took the Fourrunner Quad up to the other peak to check it out.

The views were pretty good there too. Not Heavenly good, but good none the less.

I took a self portrait to send to the family back home... I think I need to use my corporate discount to get some smaller looking specs. At least they're functional!

Here's the view down the Toll Road run, it snakes all over the mountain on all sides.

It started to get late, so I headed home

All in all, I only got in about 3 hours of riding, but that's ok since my entire department is meeting at the Gondola at Stowe on Friday at 11am. Can't beat working for a snowboard company!

Today I got to go on a tour of the factory to see how the boards are made, which was pretty darn cool!

I hope that you've all been having fun during my absence. My forum presence will be limited for a few more weeks as I get settled.
