On Sunday, I took my boy for Ski lessons at Cascade.

The snow was carppy and the cover was thin. They did get to make a bit overnight though, so at least that was a plus. Oh yeah... they did not charge $72.

Here is a happy boy getting ready to ski.

He did awesome in ski school. I snapped a picture or two from a safe distance, but mostly I went over to the other side of the hill and let him do his own thing.

The best thing about ski lessons is that I got 3 hours to myself to go ride. The worst thing about going out west early in the season is that I was bored in an hour. Oh well.

After his lesson, we had lunch, and then he went with me to get my skis and I skied with him for about 2 hours in the afternoon.

This was a cute photo, but kind of sad because it illustrates the complete lack of snow.

He and I spent a lot of time in the beginner terrain park. I suppose that what happened there was my fault.
I did call it a park, and I did say that he could do the slide box. Perhaps he misunderstood.

Look out PE! Trip is an up and comer!

After a couple of hours we were tired and it started to rain so we headed back home.
Trip slept the entire drive home. I only slept for a few minutes

He already does. Sometimes it can be quite hard to catch him.

I took him down one of the blue runs, and he really enjoyed it. He begged to go back, but for some reason when we did it the second time it scared him... I think because he got going too fast.

When passing by that run again later on he said he did not want to do that one again. He said there was a MONSTER on that run.

that is the cutest thing ever. i'll have to use the excuse next time.
"i would totally have dropped that cornice that last run, but there was a monster on the other side".
maybe not. probably sounds way cuter when it comes from a little kid.
