When that monster fire burned southwest of Denver we had one day like that. Ash was actually raining on our back patio...

here, the lake traps the smoke that comes over from the west of us. it can be so bad. there is usually a full week you can't bike outside. it's gross. but when it starts clearing out it makes for the most stunning sunsets!

Yes - monstrous fires are *really* good for that.
