assuming you're normal stance...With your lead to out front....Going to right, always force yourself to slow down or stop using your heelside edge...Going to the left, always force yourself to slow down or stop using your toeside edge. Do this, even if you feel like your going to eat it. It will train you to link turns easily.

Once you feel you have mastered the above, do it all backwards going down the hill with your back foot leading. This will teach you to ride fakey and make you a much better rider in any situation.

P.S. buy wrist bracers, they will save you a lot of pain.

actually "normal stance" would probably be the other way around because it is with your left foot forward. you typically want your dominant foot in the back.

If you don't know if you are goofy or regular, jump out a few feet w/o a board as if you were jumping onto a skateboard. Naturally, you will turn either *90 left or 90* right. If your right foot is in front, you are goofy, if your left foot is in front, you are regular.

yeah its all about lessons. There's nothing worse than teaching yourself and learning a really bad habbit which you will have to relearn later.
