What do you guys think of the Neversummer Premiere?

Hey everyone,

I just want to gather thoughts about Never Summer boards... I acutally have this board, but I have no clue how good or crappy it is compared to others. I like the board a lot, but its uber heavy. What are your thoughts on NS boards?

I haven't ridden a Never Summer so I cannot comment on ride characteristics. Remember though, in general heavy = durable.

They are high quality boards. My wife rides one and loves it, I also have a friend that I grew up with that works for them. They are not one of the biggest operations, Like Burton, but they use high quality materials and are made with a lot of direct rider input. They are also all about durability. They started using much thicker edge material an eurathane( skate wheel) material in their sidewalls for just that reason. I'ld say you got a winner.

They rule, I ride a T5 and love it. may get a Titan this year but the newT5 looks nice. These boards are the strongest boards around, all my friends a Baker ride them and they hold up better than anything.

I have been killing a T5 for the last 3 years with no significant damage. The thing is heavy as a plow, but it is stable as a result. Snow in the PNW can get pretty broken up and heavy early and late in the season, and the T5 blows through the crud without any speed shakes, etc. I haven't been on a ton of other boards, but I certainly like this one. My one complaint is that it isn't as responsive or snappy as I would like on groomers, but that was expected with the lateral rigidity of the board.

Never summer Premier

I ride a Never Summer Premier and it is a great board. As everyone has said it is super durable and heavy as hell. But, it rocks in the pow! I find it sluggish when I am in the trees or hauling a$$ on the groomers. It is a medium stiff board so it will not rail in and out of the turns as well as other, stiffer boards. I am going to buy a stiffer board for regular days in the Cascades but I will definitely keep this board for the powder days. Hope this helps.

last time i bougth a new board i was deciding between a never summer premiere and a nidecker platinum. i work at a ski school and see a fair number of never summer boards around - they are very durable, high-quality boards.

i ended up going with the platinum because i got a great deal but never summer is always on my radar.

One of the best all-round boards out there. I have a T5 and NS are a class act. Great product, great company.

Glad I found this thread...I just asked about the Premiere in the lounge. Looks like I'll be purchasing one tomorrow.

Got It

I'm now the proud new owner of a NS Premier...decided to go with a 159 (I'm 5'8"). I thought about a 161 but in the end stuck with a 159 since that's what I'm comfortable riding.

Now I need to get me some new new bindings...
